What a way to welcome the warm weather ! The day we planned this E shoot turned out to be the hottest day after a spell of rain and cold weather.
It was great to do this E shoot for the awesome couple, Maya and Craig. They flew in from Washington DC for this shoot and wanted to capture the vibe of San Francisco in the images. We picked two spots in the city , Potrero Hill and Baker Beach. The hill is known for its sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay and the city skyline. The spot with the best view is a busy cross street, so we had to watch for the passing cars in between the shots. We walked around in the neighborhood and clicked shots at different spots including one of the popular cafe', Farley's.
After Potrero hill and close to sunset time we drove to Baker Beach. To our surprise they were closing the beach early that day. By the time we parked, got the camera ready and started walking towards the beach, there was a cop car announcing that everyone should vacate immediately. Not to give up, we ran to the beach and grabbed some quick shots. Ultimately the images came out great. This is one essential and indispensable skill for wedding photography, working under the stress of a situation and time crunch and still pull off some great images. Off course having a great couple helped.
Thanks Maya, Craig, for trusting me to capture these special moments for you, and I am looking forward to create some great memories for your wedding in August.
