I always thought I have fastest lenses, the best available out there. But anyone who has shot a Kids' session can tell you that they can be faster and swifter than your fastest lens. This session was full of fun and energy and one can witness the same in the images.
One of my good friend approached me with the idea of capturing images of her kids in traditional Punjabi dance outfits. We put the idea together and also brought some props to the shoot. Best thing about photographing kids is that they can be creatively spontaneous and playful which lends great energy and fun to the images. So we planned it without any pre-conceived pictures ideas or poses. The best expressions and images happened when we let it lose.Though I have to admit that it was challenging at times to track their movements with my cameras' focus point and at the end of the shoot I was more tired than any other shoot. But the same thing made this shoot so much fun and I love the images that we captured.
The following quote by Edward Steichen aptly describes this shoot , “A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it.”
